Carl is a corporate partner based in London. He has a broad range of experience advising clients on UK and cross-border corporate finance matters, including mergers and acquisitions (private and public), joint ventures, private equity and general corporate advice.

He also has extensive expertise advising on UK and international energy and infrastructure projects. Carl has experience in a wide range of industries, with a particular interest in the real estate, TMT, energy and infrastructure sectors.

  • Accrue Capital on all corporate aspects of its real estate transactions, including numerous joint ventures, acquisitions and restructurings
  • Gatehouse Bank on its Shariah-compliant acquisitions of companies owning The Mint office building in Leeds and Greyhound Retail Park in Chester
  • ICG-Longbow on the corporate aspects of numerous real estate finance transactions
  • London & Continental Railways on various matters relating to High Speed 1, including its joint ventures to redevelop King’s Cross and to develop Stratford City and its £2.1 billion sale to a consortium comprised of Borealis and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan
  • Testcard, a multi-award winning medical technology business, on all corporate aspects of its business since formation, including its 2022 and 2020 fundraises
  • PCI-PAL plc, an AIM-listed leading provider of SaaS solutions enabling organisations to take payments from their customers securely, on all corporate aspects of its business, including the disposal of its call centre business to Direct Response group and various placings (£5.5m 2021; £5m 2020)
  • Pharos Energy plc (previously SOCO International plc) on the disposal of its shareholding in SOCO Cabinda Limited, Angola, to Quill Trading Corporation and WMLC Resources
  • Asia Resource Minerals plc on its £135m takeover by Asia Coal Energy Ventures Limited
