Gina Schaecher has extensive experience representing clients in commercial disputes in state and federal court and has served as lead counsel in lengthy, complex commercial litigation in courts nationwide. She focuses her practice on the representation of owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in construction disputes, corporate governance matters, and general commercial litigation. 

Gina has successfully represented contractors’ interests in bid protests and contract claims on public projects before various boards of contract appeals, including the General Services Board of Contract Appeals and the District of Columbia Contract Appeals Board.

Outside of her practice, Gina advocates for animal protection and animal welfare matters at local and federal levels.

  • Secured a $1.3 million award for a hotel developer in arbitration against the landowner concerning the hotel management agreement
  • Successfully negotiated a $900,000 contractor's acceleration claim on a public works project
  • Represented a contractor in mediation of claims against a federal agency to recover $217,000 of cost increases on a federal project
  • In a successful federal case, recovered a contractor's bond payments made to a fraudulent individual surety
  • Defended a developer against contract claims by the landowner in the course of a residential sub-development project
