Operating at the center of law, politics, and the media for over 20 years, Kristina Moore advises highly regulated industries with a focus on policy and legal challenges that have gained the attention of the national news media and policymakers on Capitol Hill. As such, she leverages nearly 15 years of experience in Congress to advise Fortune 500 companies facing Congressional inquiries as well as litigation into toxic tort matters and has counseled clients through unique bet-the-company crises and challenges.
Prior to joining Womble, Kristina was a managing director in the Strategic Communications practice at FTI Consulting. As founder and director of their Congressional Oversight & Investigations practice, she advised clients under Congressional investigation on both government affairs and communications strategies. Kristina also led the Industrials practice in delivering strategic and crisis communication services to Fortune 500 companies facing complex reputational challenges and a team of Crisis and Litigation communications professionals that helped clients targeted by federal and state attorneys general investigations, as well as mass tort litigation.
As a lead investigator in Congress, Kristina focused on energy and environmental policy, leading investigations into the Deep-Water Horizon Oil Spill, Solyndra, as well as the impact of government bureaucracy on entrepreneurship and job creation. Her government and government relations experience includes senior roles with the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Senate and Environment and Public Works Committee, National Automobile Dealers Association, and the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers.
