Michael Lewis is a partner and the Head of the UK Financial Regulation team at Womble Bond Dickinson.

Michael specialises in UK banking and financial markets law and regulation, asset management and insurance regulation. He advises banks and investment banks, fund managers, investment platforms, FinTechs, crypto companies, insurers and SIPP providers.

Michael advises on the regulatory perimeter, authorisations, the design and launch of new products and services, corporate governance, conduct of business compliance, regulatory capital, custody and client money, outsourcing and operational resilience. He also advises on regulatory issues in relation to mergers and acquisitions in the financial services sector.

Michael has been seconded to HM Treasury as a policy adviser on the statutory instruments under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
