Womble Bond Dickinson Partners Sarah Motley Stone, Kevin Hall, and Todd Carroll recently presented at the Retirement Industry Trust Association’s Spring Conference on April 24-25 in Washington, D.C.
Stone co-presented the privacy panel “The Growing Role of Data Protection & Privacy”, with Hall serving as panel moderator. Hall and Carroll also moderated a Litigation Update roundtable discussion.

Stone represents and advises corporations, individuals and public entities in business disputes and regulatory compliance. Her practice provides routine advice to clients to manage risk and resolve disputes. She is experienced at coordinating complex, multi-jurisdictional legal defense efforts including class actions and federal and state attorney general inquiries.
Hall is a skilled commercial litigator and political law attorney. He represents plaintiffs and defendants in regulatory and business disputes involving claims for breach of contract, business torts, unfair trade practices, unfair competition, commercial disparagement, antitrust, and related business claims, with client representation from a host of industries including but not limited to construction, electric and gas, telecommunications, software, healthcare, infrastructure, legal services, accounting services, and financial services.
Carroll has handled numerous appeals before the Fourth Circuit, the South Carolina Supreme Court, and the South Carolina Court of Appeals. He has advised corporate clients across a range of industries through hotly contested disputes, including a national practice representing custodians of self-directed IRAs in all manner of litigation and administrative disputes. Carroll also served as Special Counsel to the Office of Governor under South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
