Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Shari Bacsardi took part in a panel discussion on “Current Trends and Issues in Syndications” at the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) Legal Forum.
In this discussion, Bacsardi joined a panel of in-house counsel and outside counsel to delve into some of the current trends and issues arising in the syndication of equipment finance transactions. Topics discussed included: electronic chattel paper and the establishment of e-vaults; indemnities, recourse, and make-whole; the differences between the sale of a portfolio and a one-off; and issues unique to sales of vendor paper.
Joining Bacsardi in the discussion were Baker Donelson Shareholder Mark Kohler, and Wells Fargo Equipment Finance Counsel Emily Speak. Citizens Asset Finance Chief Administrative Officer Dave Miele moderated the discussion.
