Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Vanessa Morris and paralegal Sara Blitchington provided guidance on a transaction named Atlanta’s top residential real estate deal of the year.
The Thrive Sweet Auburn project is the winner of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Best in Atlanta Real Estate Award in the Residential Real Estate Deals category. Morris and Blitchington counseled Truist Bank, which provided financing for the deal.
Thrive Sweet Auburn is a nearly $30 million mixed-use development in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward. The project will create 117 apartments, as well as operating space for Project Community Connections Inc, a local non-profit that helps people exiting homelessness. Twenty percent of the apartments will be managed by Mercy Housing Southeast and will be dedicated to people exiting homelessness. Other units will be reserved for military veterans.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Thrive Sweet Auburn will provide much-needed “affordable units in an area where rapid gentrification and rising property values have
put cost pressure on local residents.”
