Neil Long, Private Wealth Partner at transatlantic law firm Womble Bond Dickinson has been appointed President of TACT – The Association of Corporate Trustees.
TACT is an organisation comprising most leading UK corporate trustees and aims to foster a high standard of trustee service. As the new President, Neil Long will work alongside the TACT's leadership team and its members to advance education in trust law and practice through information and instruction.
Neil is an experienced Private Client Lawyer, with a particular specialism in trust and estate disputes. He advises individuals, families, charities and trustees about the validity of Wills and trust documents, undue influence, financial provision, mental capacity, interpretation and related matters.
He has a strong track record in negotiation, mediation and litigation, having advised clients on claims in the Family and Chancery Divisions of the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Court of Protection.
Neil Long commented: "I am delighted to be taking on the presidency when the use of trusts is so much in the spotlight. Tax, regulation, transparency and training are hot topics in the trust world and I look forward to working with the membership by building on the Association's great reputation and work in these areas."
