SILICON VALLEY—The US Patent and Trademark Office has recognized Womble Bond Dickinson for its pro bono support of the USPTO Patent Pro Bono Program and its work with underfinanced inventors and small businesses. In particular, Womble Bond Dickinson was honored for it work with the California Inventors Assistance Program, the statewide administrator of the USPTO Pro Bono Program.
The USPTO honored Womble Bond Dickinson with the 2019 Law Firm or Corporate Achievement Certificate, given for support of the Patent Pro Bono Program. Womble Bond Dickinson is one of just 31 law firms across the nation to be recognized.
In addition, Azie Aziz, Tony Chen, Seiko Okada and Dan Ovanezian were honored individually with 2019 Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificates. All four of these Womble Bond Dickinson team members gave more than 50 hours of pro bono time in 2019 to assist inventors and small businesses identified by the California Inventors Assistance Program.
