Carol joined our Charities team as a solicitor in 2022 having trained and qualified with the firm. During her training, Carol assisted in advising charities on a wide variety of issues including property ownership and disposals, constitutional matters, incorporation and restructuring. 

Prior to training and qualifying as a Solicitor, Carol worked as a property development finance paralegal and has extensive experience. reporting and advising clients on property transactions. Before making the change to a career law, Carol spent years working as a bilingual customer service representative in various sectors where she developed numerous transferable skills including client care and customer relations, time management, public speaking and communication, file management and organisational skills.

Experience

Examples of experience include: 

  • Advising on the charity law implications of disposals of property held by a charity both outright and on trust
  • Liaising with the Charity Commission on behalf of clients on a variety of matters including incorporation, obtaining regulatory consents and charity filings
  • Assisting in the provision of advice and support in the merger of multiple charities and subsequent transfers of assets and liabilities
  • Engaging with Companies House and the Land Registry on behalf of clients to ensure records are kept up to date.
