Through enhancing our environmental performance and improving our sustainable practices, we respect our surroundings and aim to have a positive impact on the world around us.
We understand that systemic changes takes time, but we fully recognise our role in a sustainable future for all. Developing and stretching our environmental targets is core to our business and we have a set out our Carbon Reduction Plan which details our commitment to net zero by 2030.
Working alongside our clients and suppliers, we take every opportunity to align our environmental strategies. As a founding and active executive member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance, we collaborate with other law firms to take positive action on climate change. This is done by measuring, reducing and reporting our carbon footprint. We've implemented practical measures such as launching a major campaign to help eradicate all plastics in our working environment, introducing LED lighting and cutting down food waste.
Talking about waste, did you know we're the first law firm to be an ambassador for the right Waste, right Place campaign? This is a national initiative by the Environmental Services Association aimed at raising awareness of the duty of care for waste management amongst UK businesses.

We've also been awarded the Planet Mark certification. This is based on our commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability in business operations, which has seen us reducing CO2 emissions to approximately 1.1 tonne per Womble Bond Dickinson employee.
Earlier this year we were pleased to receive a Gold sustainability rating from EcoVadis which includes us scoring Outstanding in Environment.
