They have significant experience in government contracts procurement and litigation before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Government Accountability Office, and the Federal Circuit. They also regularly advise clients in bid protests, size issues, contract disputes, and regulatory matters.

Raleigh and Lockwood join from Wilmer & Lee, where Raleigh served as the co-chair of its Government Contracts practice. The newly created Huntsville office is Womble’s 30th worldwide and 23rd in the United States.

Rich Raleigh focuses his practice on litigation with an emphasis on government contracts, employment law, complex business litigation (including trade secret and non-compete litigation), and civil litigation. Drawing upon his experience in the U.S. Army JAG Corps, Rich has successfully represented clients dealing with issues related to government contracts, non-competition agreements, and trade secrets throughout the Southeast. He regularly handles matters requiring immediate action – motions for temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunction hearings – particularly in cases involving non-compete agreements and claims of misappropriation of trade secrets.
Chris Lockwood focuses his practice on government contracts and business litigation. He represents government contractors in litigation matters and provides general counsel in all aspects of procurement law, including bid protests, size issues, contract disputes, and regulatory matters. Chris frequently handles bid protests before the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and U.S. Court of Federal Claims, as well as size protests before the Small Business Administration and its Office of Hearings and Appeals.
