WBD Reach, our Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage network, are delighted to welcome the CARGO Movement to talk about their project "CARGO Classroom".
Set up by creative director and filmmaker Chaz Golding, and executive producer, poet and educator Dr Lawrence Hoo, garnering coverage from The Guardian and the BBC, CARGO Classroom provides free resources for secondary schools, adding "missing parts" to the existing curriculum with perspectives of individuals of African and African diaspora descent, recognising the resilience, contributions and visionary leadership of such individuals. CARGO share these stories through poetry, film and illustration, with soundtrack curation and production by Massive Attack, to keep pupils engaged.
Following the multi-media presentation by CARGO you will have a networking opportunity with food and drinks, including a cocktail bar with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Take the chance to learn more about CARGO Movement and catch-up with others.
