Womble Bond Dickinson has welcomed Claire Kistner to their London office as a new partner in the banking team. Claire brings almost 20 years of legal experience particularly in high-value leverage financial transactions. Claire's arrival is an exciting development in the growth of Womble Bond Dickinson’s London corporate Banking team.
Claire commented:
“Womble Bond Dickinson is a firm that I am proud to be joining as a partner. With my wealth of experience, and Womble Bond Dickinson's strong panel relationships with Banks and other financial institutions, I look forward to working with a wide number of clients and further developing the firm's reputation for delivering high quality banking advice.”
Originally from Surrey, Claire began her legal training at Hammonds Suddards Edge (now Squire Patton Boggs) and qualified into the firm’s London Banking Financial Division, specialising in acquisition finance and asset-based lending. Claire then continued to further her professional development on the other side of the world, with her appointment as Senior Associate at Minter Ellison and Associate Director in the leverage finance team at ANZ. Upon her return to the UK, Claire chose to share her wealth of knowledge with the next generation of legal talent by becoming a lecturer at The University of Law, specialising in Business Law and Practice and Banking & Debt Finance. Claire also worked as an interim publisher at Reuters during this time, before returning to private practice with Gateley Plc.
Womble Bond Dickinson have continued to expand since their combination in 2017 and saw a 9.3% increase in revenue in 2021, which leadership credited in part to strong performance in its banking and finance practice area.
John Connor, National Head of Banking at Womble Bond Dickinson, said:
"I am delighted to welcome Claire to the team. Claire's arrival further strengthens our corporate and acquisition finance practice in London and across the UK."
