International law firm Womble Bond Dickinson has advised longstanding client The National Trust on its UK-wide roll-out of electric vehicle (EV) charging points for up to 280 sites across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The initiative is part of The National Trust’s efforts to open low carbon choices for its 20 million visitors a year in addition to the charity's target to be net zero by 2030. The roll-out includes a £12m investment from British company, RAW Charging, who will install, operate and maintain the charging points.
A multidisciplinary team of lawyers at Womble Bond Dickinson advised on the project with the firm providing commercial, regulatory, energy and real estate advice. The team was led by partners Chris Towner and Simon Hughes, supported by associates Alex Chapman and Jane Morea.
